Current server hosting i4memory.com etc is old and running low on disk space etc so I decided it's time to upgrade to a new server. Just as well as i4memory.com is starting to take off traffic wise with nearly a constant 20-40% monthly increase in visitors every month ![]() Old: single Intel P3 1.2ghz Tualatin cpu 512MB memory 60GB IDE hdd New: Intel Pentium D 820 2.8ghz dual core 2x1MB 1GB DDR2 memory 2x 200GB SATA hdds 1200GB/month bandwidth The move will most likely occur this weekend or early next week ![]() So guys if you can't access i4memory.com for a while you'll know why ![]() George/eva2000 Update: Nov 11, 2005: 8:31AM AEST Well guys have to move the transfer ahead a bit as i miscalculated the old server's next payment date which is in 9 days time. So i want to have all sites moved over to the new server within this 9 days timeframe. To ensure that the database is in sync with the new server, I will be temporarily closing i4memory.com forums for 3 days from Saturday Nov 12th to 14th and reopen on Tuesday Nov 15th, Australian Eastern Standard Time. Update: Nov 12, 2005: 11:39AM AEST i4memory.com has successfully moved to new server, just waiting on domain to propagate properly. But I realised there's no reason not to open the forums on the new server and just keep old server's forum closed. So i4memory.com is now officially reopened on new server Enjoy folks |

web host, Dedicatednow.com doesn't offer dual core opterons only dual opteron 246 s940 cpus but would cost a bit more than i'm willing to pay right now in hosting costs i.e. Intel P3 1.2ghz tualatin = US$129/mo Intel Pentium D 820 2.8ghz dual core = US$180/month Dual Opteron 246 s940 cpus = US$285/month |
