Hey guys! Some quick benching this weekend. Pics of setup coming soon (still on camera and I'm at work). I dont know if dinos and pro have tried 3D benching on this board, but I wasnt impressed. My superpi runs are sucking because I did those last, and condensation/exhaustion were setting in and making things difficult. I started the session easily benching 3D at 5.3-5.4Ghz. Later in the night (12 hrs into benching) I couldnt even get 32M stable at 5 Ghz. Kept getting errors Temps were easy to hold at about -69 to -71 degrees on my mousepot. vCore was at 1.68v to 1.76v. I was afraid to push it higher since I was unsure of how much voltage a 45nm chip could take on dry ice. Im on the lookout for a Dewar so I can start some serious benching with LN2. Dry Ice isnt getting me where I want to be. Although I did accomplish one of my main goals which was 100k+ in our favorite game 3DM2001 ![]() The insulation method I used worked PERFECTLY! I recommend it to everyone. I had tons of condensation, but none of it went where it would do damage. You will be able to see more details when I post pics. I used conformal coating on the front&back of mobo. Frost King sticky insulation (2 layers) on the back of the mobo. And on the front I used kneadable artist erasers which worked fabulously. Im sure my 8500 would be dead if I used standard insulation, since I was mopping this thing with shop towels by the end of the night. Im not sure what Im doing wrong, but 276k was the best I could do (I have a 274k with 1Ghz less on the cpu - same gpu clocks). Cool maybe my AM3 problems were just related to the crappy 3D on this board. I may try it again with teh 9800GTX and see what it can do.

thx guys and for my 2nd dry ice session im pretty happy. I guess comparing myself to some of our other teammates with tons of subzero experience isnt being fair to myself
