for anyone saying the gigabyte is a slow board, FORGET IT, this x38 flies, and its the first board to finally take my sub 13M !! it allows me to bench stable 32mb at 4-4-2-4-4 which no other board has before. x38t ddr3 benches to come shortly! e6850 @ 3.6, 400 fsb, performance level 5 cellshock pc8000 c4 @ 4-4-2-4-4 600mhz (2:3) copywaza 1gb, maxmem 616mb, eram, reverse-cdt (this time it worked, helped me shave 3s), reasonable tight subtimings, real time priority, i also dropped back to windows xp for this one, not sure if theres more improvement to be had with server 2003 |

nice one mate i'll be doing some testing on it too but i already know it's fast from my last lot of tests at least in 32M ![]() why run single core try dual as well and see if you can gain a bit more |

| Re: Core 2 Duo @ <3600mhz, 32M benchmarks By youngpro very nice run, congrats on the sub 13min run
have you tried with Luna theme? i have found it good for about a second, sometimes two, with either 2k3 or xp pro. as for the whole 2k3 vs xp pro...its debatable whether 2k3 can be faster. i was all about 2k3 for the longest time then i spent an afternoon on xp pro tweaking and such and was able to come within hundredths of a second at any given frequency of my 2k3 install. your going to have to explain the reverse-cache diversity to me some time. OPBs explanations are, well...terrible. i've never been able to get it to 'work' based on his. another persons description might help. looking forward to the DDR3 results. |

mm single core was just set from earlier i was doing max fsb testing on a few chips on this board, seems nice for high fsb without any mods, my asus board hits lower until i start upping vpll voltages... i havnt tried the luna theme, ill have to try that at somestage, ive found personally 2k3 paired with conservativeswapfileusage really improves copywaza and i get high system cache than possible on xp, this is where i get my gains on 2k3, you see the system memory go right down, until theres hardly any left, then it increases slightly and system cache increases again, and this repeats until it hits its top level, with my 616maxmem i get about 591k system cache.. i dont really understand the reverse-cache diversty myself, but im working alot on it, it works for me 1/20 at the moment and gains about 3s when it works, if it doesnt work i loose 3 seconds ![]() this could be a quality 3d board, my 2900s have been waiting for a board to flex my cellshock ddr3 in, we will see how things go |

this mobo is on fire look at the RAM speed and timings at 2.52v 617.50MHz 4-4-4-8 32M SuperPi Stable ![]() i REALLY have to figure out what the **** is going on with my setup because these times should easily be sub 13m |
