ok just did your gskill settings eva after clearing cmos looks like i am using official 310 bios.....timings are 2.5-4-4-8.... the system will just reboot every time it gets to first start up screen when it checks cmos....sometimes jjust goes to start memtest and reboots i tried changing a few settings one by one and putting them back if no change.....voltages (cpu, ldt, chipset),drive strength and data drive strength, multiplier i noticed image corruption subsided a bit....almost not there....what setting could it be that is rebooting it By eva2000

dinos22 have you tried playing with drive strengh. I thaught it was a pretty insignoficant setting but turned out to be very important to get those few extra MHz, at lower voltage. TCCD's are supposed to like driver strengths of 1, 2, 4, 7. (I think) try those out. Copying other ppls tmings isnt a good idea because your ram may not be able to handle it. trfc is another important setting try with trfc = 15 or 16.

| BREAKTHROUGH....got some results finally ok well it was i donno 2 or 3am this morning....me and babydude were still up (keen) messing with our computers...when i came to realise i am a complete ****head......i've been trying to apply TCCD timings to my UTT ram.....i looked at the sticks sitting on my desk by accident and realised i had the wrong sticks installed for the job....well for the settings i was trying to work with TCCD....... and then i push the wrong n00b button and voila....the damn thing worked .... well 5.5hours of test#8 produced 113 errors which were all between loop 6-13.....and there was a couple of errors on loop 86 and loop 136 i think.....me thinks that's good enough......test#5 no probs.....as i mentioned before i was able to push past 290 before i got any errors in test#5.....so i need to tweak for stability and tighter timings now.....OK here it isDIVIDERS DON'T work.....errors and instability present.....9:10 is only Test#8 issue.....so need more tweaking (300FSB....270RAM...didn't like SuperPI)....while 166 divider is a blue-screener I have 3 goals now: 1) There is more heatroom to tweak for stability 2) I want tighter timings 3) I want 9:10 multiplier to work with tighter timings I NEED YOUR HELP TO TWEAK THIS BASTARD PLEASE......ALL HELP MUCH APPRECIATED System A64 3000+ CBBHD 0447UPDW Winchester 90nm cpu air cooled (Freezer64) Corsair Twinx1024-4400C25 (80mm fan blowing on top....working on 100CFM 21dba solution ATM...will do a post if it works out) DFI UT nF4 Ultra-D 331-3 beta bios Xpertvision 6600GT 80GB Seagate 7200.7 LG DVDRW(DL) 400W Antec SL400 PSU (20-pin with coverter) WinXP PRO SP2 fresh install Latest nVidia chipset and VGA drivers 9x 275mhz 2.5-4-4-8 12-14-2224 at 2.8v vdimm CPU VID Control = 1.325V CPU VID Special Control = 123% chipset = 1.7v LDT = 1.5v LDT 3x CPC = Enabled CAS Latency(CL) = 2.5 RAS to CAS(Trcd) = 4 Min RAS# Active time(Tras) = 8 Row Precharge Time(Trp) = 4 Row Cycle Time(Trc) = 12 Row Refresh Cycle Time(Trfc) = 14 Row to Row Delay(Trrd) = 2 Write Recovery Time(Twr) = 2 Write to Read Delay(Twtr) = 2 Read to Write Delay(Trwt) = 4 Refresh Period (Tref) = 3120 Write CAS Latency(Twcl) = Auto DRAM Bank Interleave = Enabled Skew = AUTO Skew Value = 0 DRAM Drive Strength = Level 7 DRAM Data Drive Strength = Level 3 Max Async Latency = 7ns Read Preamble Time = 5ns Idle Cycle Limit = 256 Dynamic Counter = Disable R/W Queue Bypass = 8x Bypass Max = 4x 32 byte Granularity = Disable(8burst) |
