Take it from me, as I've tried four sets of overhyped GSkill ram: three sets of LEs and one set of LAs, and I tell ya, they were 0431s, 0437s, and 0440s, and there is something disturbing with them and TCCD in general: the sticks can't make up their mind where they are Memtest clean! They will run 278x9 four #5 loops clean, then get two errors, run three loops clean, than more errors, etc. They seem to be stable but next time you test them couple of days later, they are not. Now lots of ram are 3D stable with a few errors, but the GSkill definitely are not. Also, it's difficult to gain stability with a 10x multi or higher. 278x9 is Memtest clean but 276x10 errors out and is clearly unstable in Windows or 3D. On the CAA2C I am running now, I'm even having issues with PQI TCCD: I get random blue screens, out of nowhere. If I run the ram in the #1/2 slots of the 9NDA3+, it BSs right when entering Windows - every time! I put my BH-5 back in and totally stable up to 2880 mhz @ 1.617 volts. VX4000 also runs real stable too. No wonder some guys have fits with this board. I am a proponent of Ballistix as it can run 250, 2.5-2-2-5, but needs real good sticks. I plan on doing a benchmark comparison with BH-5 at 250, 2-2-2-5 to show you don't lose much in performance, and can get by with 2.8-2.9 VDIMM .
