Hiya
I would like to know which dual PC4000 and PC4400 ram sticks have no problem running with this board. The reason i want duals is so if i ever upgrade and get a board with dual DDR i won't have to buy new ram to take advantage of it.

I've heard this board is very picky and i don't want to buy RAM and return it because it doesn't work properly.

So can anyone tell me any RAM sticks that are guaranteed to work with this board? I don't care if its cheapo generic RAM either as long as it works.

Geil 4000 Ultra Platinum- 250 Mhz 2.5-4-4-7 2.7 vDimm
OCZ 3700EB- 233 Mhz 3-3-2-8 2.7 vDimm

wow! were you able to run all of those in 1T? or only 2T?

hmm, what single sticks would be guaranteed to run 250HTT 1:1 in 1T?

hey dude... i made the move from XP-M system to a64 a month ago...

i had bought a 3500+ newcastle, a K8NS-Ultra 939 (same as the k8nsnxp but without the heatsink on the mosfets - i couldn't justify the extra $90 when i can get my own little heatsinks on there), and i continued to use the XMS3200XL that i had from my previous system... unfortuantely it wasn't as good... i could only do 250-260 @ 3-4-4-10 1T, at the boards' max vdimm which is something like 2.7-2.8v.

i decided this wasn't ideal for ram that cost over $400, so i got rid of it for $375, and i took a risk and invested in some adata pc4000.. 2x512mb sticks for $304 delivered. unfortunately it was about the same as the xms3200XL! could do 240 @ 2.5-3-3 1t 1:1 which is not bad, but... yeah...

YESTERDAY i picked up a ddr booster, and with a small voltage increase it does 260 1:1 2.5-3-3 1T (ultra tight timings for everything else too!) and it's humming along happily at 270 now (i now have a winchester 3200+ running 10 x 270 which is pretty good, and yeah, still finalising voltage settings from the booster). see my thread:
