| By groovetek i'd say pretty good. I dropped my evap temps to around -45c & was loading at around -5c or so & easily did a 01 run @ 3350, was priming for about 1hr at that speed to. Ambient was pretty cool which helps. Havent tried higher at this stage.
3.4 or higher I think is possible if you can hold 0c/-5 loaded. T_M, I dont think that would work As I understand the pressure from the compressor forcing the liquid through the thin cap tube will determine how cold the liquid be when entering the evap (taking into account cap length & compressor capacity). The gas is only going to condense back into a liquid sooner, but wont change the overall performance or drop evap temps much if any, due to the fact its not changing the force that the liquid is pushed through the cap, so the liquid will still only get to a certian temp regardless of what temprature it enters the cap. All that is doing is saving you putting a fan on the condenser.. If you put dice directly onto the evap would be better..I could be wrong & I think i've confused myself hehe C-BuZz |

You are right. I am pretty sure there is a big thread on xs about it, fugger or chilly went through and said basically what you have just said. The only only way to go colder is build a bigger unit, or go cascade.

The way i currently prevent my card from bending in the slot is to chock the bottom of the block against the SLI jumpers underneath with a hard piece of platic (in my case a plastic t-piece from my WC bits). Seems to work very well and would take a fair weight, although with a couple kilos of copper/insulation im not so sure. Need a good insulated backing plate too. |
