Tim will post pics etc later as im on dial-up :P 1M - 24.4xx seconds 8M - 4min 29.9xx seconds 32M - 21min 41.xxx seconds All the above are with my opteron 148. Cold bug hits at -26 unloaded, or -8ish loaded, so keeping the pot at -40 seems to keep everything happy. Max SS shot is 3605Mhz, Max 1M run was 3440Mhz I think we need an FX57 if we want a faster chip. |

Had a really nice setup today, extremely airconditioned room (15C), nice large work area, and massive LCD. ![]() Started off using my new 3500+ Clawhammer, with a full tube of DICE giving it a -40C idle ![]() ![]() For some reason or other though, we couldnt get it to run PI at any decent speed (not even 3100!), so we got the ****s and moved onto Scragley's 148: ![]() ![]() Again, we couldnt get SuperPI running properly, so we decided it must be a fricked up install and not the chips/setup at all. So we then set about dismantling and rebuilt using Scragley's DFI NF4 Expert, power supply, and his Windows install (not tweaked very much at all) on a SATA: ![]() At last some worthy results! Ironed out a few kinks as they arose, found what temps this chip liked (-25C idle / ~-10C load) and monitored by sticking a temp probe to the base of the tube, and then went for it. Unfortunately as I just saw, we didnt run our 1M at full tweaked RAM, so could probably drop another 0.1s off by lowering both MAL and RP. The 183 divider didnt seem to want to play nicely at all, so we couldnt run RAM at decent speed (260's) ![]() 1M ![]() 8M ![]() 32M ![]() I really think we could have gone a bit higher with some more volts (we were running 1.81V actual) but the risk of killing the chip was not worth it. |
