| New Watercooling setup Q's
Guys, picked up some water cooling gear from 1800reverse and i've a few questions before i pull my rig down to install it. whats the opinion on the loop order as discribed below? i'm yet to get some tubing, just get some clearflex from PCCG tomorrow and some fluid (demineralised water and nulon ultra cool) i have everything else here on my desk, cleaned and ready. so is this the best order? rad out -> storm G4 -> dd maze4 -> res -> pump -> rad ? |

Damn I was so tempted to get that G4 :P G'luck with it! Just so you know, after about 5-10 weeks of using clearflex + nulon, your tubing will cloud and a residue will build up on the inside of the tubing. When you go to refill your loop the best way to clean the tubing is to get a bucket of boiling water, dunk it in there for about 10 to 20 mins, then drag a rag through it. That setup is what most people use, and there are several ways which make make very insignificant changes in temps, if you are for any reason unable to fit the components in your system in that config. I've gone back to that setup after trying out a different order for a few months ---dens |

I've been using rad out -> storm G4 -> Fusion -> pump -> res -> rad in That will change later this week when I get rid of the res and use a Tee piece so rad out > G4 > Fusion > pump in -- pump out > Tee piece > rad in OR rad out > Tee piece > G4 > Fusion > pump > rad in |

This was my watercooling setup. My config was: Res - pump - G4 Waterblock - Radiator - Res I used some coolant that litterally made my clearflex look like crap after a week or two's use. I ended up just using generic tubing from a farm supply company. The best trick to get tubing on the barbs is to heat it in a cup of hot water - Works a treat. Please post some pics of the setup when it is complete! Would be interesting to see! |

pics, umm, i borrow the digi cam from work. got my clearflex today (wasn't going to pay the extra for tygon, yet...) and nulon, not really too fussed with the scum build-up as long as it doesn't impede flow. It will be in an enclosed case. probably only a temporary setup, i want to spray the rad and maybe figure out some way to mount it on the rear of the case, i'll just get it up and running first so i can send the XP90 to 1800REVERSE.... |

| By alpha0ne What exactly compelled you to put your pump before the res? I'd have to say the same about your proposed setup with the T-piece.
I haven't gotten the effort up to bother ordering some tygon to replace my clearflex, but I know without even using it that it'll be worth it. ---dens |
