Talking Low dollar 295gtx cooling

I'm to po' to buy a proper slim jim wacky do dice pot.
blocks of cut dry ice (40cents a pound) for 2.50 u.s .d is good for a blast lol.
so i do this, you have to watch for condensation,in a cold room is best......try at your own risk.
i just do this trick for a bench or two,20-30-minutes most of the time, what the hey you gotta live alittle.
i thuoght i'd share a good way to increase your thermally limited clocks, really easy on the 295 and gx2.
good for 30 to 50 mhz on the 295...... plus everybody knows shaders like cold.
all cards respond from 6800's to the 200gt's

just some padding you can use more to fill the gap between cards.

it sits on there good you have to make sure you cut the ice to fit(about 2inches wide)

hey it looks like a good spot to put dice between the v8 cpu cooler hmmmmmm.....
not the greatst pics sry they were to big to dl so i just took screenshots of them

just some results

no dice
before temps are the highest i'v seen on any of my cards ever.
here 1.24

dice
he he i love to see the numbers in the teens
here 1.27

for for giggles

Wow, impressive. You must be either very brave or very crazy (joke)

I would say that you should insulate the PCB with dielectric grease to have a safe cooling..But it' a good idea for quick benching

Insulation means more than 1 hour benching

right benji this is just for a quickie
but remember you dont have to have the dice touch the card.even just using it in the air intake(i do both) area will do wonders and help get clocks up and temps down

yeah hey ang' remember the gx2? went close to 790 that day and it was warm too
lol how else can you run almost 800 on a g80 card with the stock cooler?
