yeah i got sick of keeping it around 5c. just let it run see how cold it got. or see if i could get it to crash doesnt hurt it too much. its a sempron 2400, stock 1670mhz and maxed out about 2330mhx (same thing happened with other chips too), mobo was limiter (ram do 240+) and i was limited to 10x this cpu (10 x233) load temps using vcore 1.95v was 19c die temps according to mbm at -6c water. super pi 44sec 1Mb crap |

blowing air onto bottom of mobo. Not needed if have a thick +10mm layer enclosed foam. if had layer of foam then perspex back plate would see nothing back side. the colder ya go the wider ya need it (cold transfer further out -100c etc) i would only use a fan if these was condensation starting to form on places. the air removes the moisture before it has a chance to bead. |

Just a quick unrelated question - what's the crap around the socket in the pic showing the block on the CPU - the orangy stuff that's on the mobo PCB itself :\ Just doesn't look too healthy to me Though i'm sure there's some reason that it's there.Edit: Btw, looking very nice now ![]() ---dens |
