ooooooooo recieved my first package from kayl today, a gpu tube ![]() looks of high quality, very heavy!, the i think the copper/alum hybrid is the way to go, the copper section is real heavy, but the upper alum tubing is quite light but also thick, i think there is a good 1-1.5cm copper section between the gpu plate and the inside of the tube, i think this will be great to handle high heat load of the 8800's and also stop ln2 swing alot.. i took a bit of brasso to the surface of the gpu plate and it came up a treat, i can see all the patches i missed shaving this morning in its mirrored surface ![]() ill be mounting it up with a small amount of dice (or ill stay up all night benching) tuesday night and seeing how much it can improve my current 8800GTS clocks of 700/1025, im hoping for 870/1100 (not sure how much itll improve my memory clocking, but cold transfer to the board might give me some additional clocks) |

awesome ![]() like i said to you before i agree about this sort of design...it has many advantages ![]() but it will be interesting to compare solid vs this design when you get your solid pot from Duniek (some time next year )

for sure dude, im also going to take one of kayls new pots for a spin and see how they handle, i know all my maxes for wprime and other benches on the current kayl pot, it will be interesting to see (especially for wprime) how much a more solid pot increases max benching speed for quads, although i wouldnt expect much more from dual cores |
