I haven't spent much time at all really... if I could do this all over again, I'd be up to the same point as I am now within a couple hours... OK, i hacked up a PC power cord, hooked up the psu, measured voltage, and see the voltage range I can adjust... this is certainly more than +/- 10%  Stock voltage:  Higher limit:  Lower limit:  ONE problem I have now realised - if I accidnetally forget to plug the powerpoint in to this PSU, then, I'm going to GG my chip, since the peltier won't be on... IF I accidentally leave it ON after I've turned off my PC, then the peltier is gonna stay on, and something will freeze to death or die anyway... so this isn't really a good situation here  What method can I use to control when the PSU turns on and off?? it REALLY doesn't help that there is no switch on the PSU itself either... hmmmm edit: eva2000, it was purchased here: http://www.computronics.com.au/meanwell/sp-320/ |

Groove, look aty setting up some type of relay circuit that will shutdown your 24v PSU at the same time as the system goes down. I know others have done it with W/C setups (240v pumps which shutdown/startup at the same time as you hit the switch/button on your PC), so it should be adaptable from that |

guys... i've plugged it up... results are very disapointing... in fact... wtf, they're worse than they were before i used it???? i think my water temps getting too high, it's hitting over 40 degC... which isn't good... in fact, turning voltage down to 18V has resulted in some improvement in temps... water temp down to 35 degC now... hmmm |

| By groovetek why is your water getting hotter......gee my water temps with 1.54V 2.7Ghz are 27-28C 100% load (CPU 10C more).....what's doing there.....my corsair sensor finally working

water getting hotter because peltier putting out more heat... ie, now the water isn't cooling the cpu directly anymore - it's cooling the hot side of the peltier which is, in turn, cooling the cpu with the cold side... |
