I found out today that my local BOC doesn't actually make their own dice any more and they actually purchase it in bulk from their competitor Air Liquide

If you get to know the people at these places, they're generally quite generous with the dice and helpful on pricing

It seems that the Dice at Air Liquide up here is freighted up??? On a side note it was actually quite funny, the guy on the phone was trying to justify the "high" price of dice compared to down south while it was still $3 per kg cheaper than the local BOC

The guy I spoke to sounded like he was fairly decent. I'm hoping he'll be liberal with the Dice per kg charged

. BOC up here on the other hand just seem to be arrogant and uninterested in helping you at all.

Yeah, every now and then you get a bugger to deal with.

Thankfully I'm mates with the manager now and he tells the others to hook me up

My local BOC were great to deal with for my session today. 35kg dice with zero charge, a LN2 account made after hours around 6pm last night to assure delivery of LN2 ($3.15/L + $65 delivery charge) between 9-10am today and it all went through without a hitch. Admittedly I got some special attention as it was a bit of a "you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours" type of fix-up. But the fact they were so openly helpful towards the concept of enthusiast PC cooling was brilliant to see.

It was a fun session and if you thought quads ate ice, they simply open up and skull down the LN2

... and yes, results will eventually get posted but I need to see what I can and can't post - work related.

LOL, I still haven't got a reply or even an aknowledgement of the BOC account application I faxed to them on Tuesday. It's actually rather humerous as now I've found Air Liquide, I'll probably never use BOC again.

I suppose they've lost themselves a customer because if they had returned the account application sooner, I'd probably have just stuck with them

I'm sure it'll come in handy one day though.

Yeah I know, it's a pain really. That's why today I had the necessary discussions and I'll be validating on hwbot every result from now on instead of holding it back due to it being print content/work related.

Keep trying Kayl, you've just gotta know the right people to ask. I'll email my contact here and see if he has anyone on the west coast that might be a little more helpful
