I don't get this benching...700Mhz on the core, no matter how much he freezes the core it will still artifact right?? What's the point? He just overclocks it to a point where it just barely goes through 3dmark without crashing? |

Me, i'm all about stable speeds. If it doesn't work 24/7 without artifacting/crashing i won't post the benchmark |

same with me actually... yet i call myself an overclocker... it just pains me in the ass when like, in the back of my head i know it's producing some errors... yet i'm continuing to run it just to get me some nice bench results... heheeh - i DID make an exception with the superPI challenge though.. hehe 1M time at 3000mhz is not actually stable (well, it soon will be). |

I guess this record is now under threat from the fella at Xtreme with almost 12500 05 marks on single card setup. I dont think he will be able to use his cooling with 2 cards insatlled though.

If I am benching, I will let my gear artifact to hell and back, as long as i get a better score. IMO, benching is ALL about tweaking your gear to the point that it gets the highest scores possible regardless, and THEN knowing the best settings for stable day to day stuff and utilising them. I really get pissed off with people who get on a "moral" high horse saying that if an overclock or score isn't without artifacting or 100% stability then it isn't valid. However, the thing that pisses me off even more are those people who say they get a particular score/speed and "it is a day to day use speed" when it clearly isn't... |
