![]() By scottath haven't paid much attention to HD5850s, but first thing i'd do is find out if there's any bios updates for your card - could be a fix out there. Tried using MSI Afterburner, Rivatuner to set fan speed ?

Hi all, not been here for a long time. I want add a second 5870, and i m a bit lost with all the new model, specially with the Blue PCB ones, I have see it's impossible to adjust voltage on some with Afterburner, don't know if it was faulty models, but it will be really bad to fall on a card i can't OC.... Actually on the my shop, they have only some few model with 1go available, need check if they can order specific only for me. But any input about thoses one ? - Asus 5870 Revision 2 ( witht the new cooler, not the matrix ) http://www.asus.de/product.aspx?P_ID=iAXaiw2KfP5w0xU0 Look like this card can easely reach 1ghz+ with the stock cooler, but can i use MSI afterburner with the voltage tweak of Asus ? for OC both cards in crossfire ) - Sapphire 5870 Vapor X and Toxic - Sapphire standard model - Gigabyte 5870UD http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/...ProductID=3355 - Gygabite standard reference model - HIS 5870 V Icooler turbo (875mhz and Turbo X 900mhz models ) http://www.guru3d.com/article/his-58...-turbo-review/ - HIS 5870 standard reference model. - The XFX 5870 XXX Sadly nothing great as the Matrix or the SOC, Lightning.... Need check if i can find a shop in Deutshland or France where they can sell the MSI...( Euro is low right now, so i win a lot of money on the exchange rate ) |

Hey Lane been a while ![]() all the models you listed don't use the reference Volterra controller with software adjustable voltages But at least the Gigabyte one has it's own software to adjust voltages up but i think 1.3v or 1.35v is max allowed. Asus HD5870 rev2, lakeside in this thread reported it didn't clock anywhere near as well as the first rev reference Asus HD5870.I'd just get a HD5870 reference model i.e. HIS one to match your existing one, much easier to adjust voltages |
