surprising choice of card i must say.........9K stock looks great..........wonder how this one will clock interesting finding about the GPU ...

interesting finding about the GPU and RAM clocks comparing ati tool and other proggies....i didn't even know about other programs to be honest.....maybe i can squeeze some more MHz out of my X800

Sorry to hi-jack but whats the stock 7800GTX512 3DMARK05 score?

Thats a bloody good score with stock CPU. With everything overclocked, I only get 8603 with my 7800GTX 256Meg. But then again, 490/1350 vs the...............................dynamite.

I think we should start running DOOM 3 timedemo as a good becnhmarking tool Atleast will give us some indication about real world gaming performance.

Not sure about 512MB 7800GTX stock might want to see a few reviews

Stock 7800GTX 512MB @ 550/1700 with 4800+ is 9660.

Ah thanks lowdog you should start a new thread with 512MB Leadtek 7800GTX Adventures for comparison

I'll be bringing up the Opteron 146 clocks for better comparison to most cpus i.e. 2200mhz, 2400mhz, 2600mhz, 2800mhz, 3000mhz, 3100mhz

Right now benching at 700(695)/800(792)

It will be interesting to see what it is like with the cpu running at 3100.

Then overclock the card..........

Okay got stock cpu benchies out of the way, so next is 2800mhz speeds for my Opteron 146 at 1.35v vcore stressprime stable
