Okay seems Softshadows On doesn't work when AA is enabled and in fact the SS on + 4xAA result above is just normal 4xAA/16xAF redid the benchmarks to compare 512MB HIS X1800XT with Cat 5.13 drivers @783/900 - my very comfortable FEAR/Quake4 playable clocks with load temps between 48-52C  ---------------------- @1600x1200 with supposedly SSon which is NOT on with 4xAA --   ---------------------- @1600x1200 with SS OFF + 4xAA/16xAF ----------------------   ---------------------- @1600x1200 with SS ON + AA off/16xAF ----------------------   |
