Some new memory arrived in preparation for Nehalem and tri channel memory configurations

3 sets of 2x1GB G.Skill F3-12800CL7D 2GBHZ dual channel kits rated for DDR3-1600 7-7-7-18 at 1.9v. Serial numbers of modules are very close together and numbers on heat spreaders indicate that they're week 29, 2008 packed. Took a peek under one module only and they appear to be Micron D9JNM 8GD22 CTBX labelled memory ICs and not Micron D9GTR/GTS.

FYI, the ICs are rated as follows:
  • D9GTR 128MBx8 1.5v 533MHz cycle time 1.875ns 86 ball
  • D9GTS 128MBx8 1.5v 667MHz cycle time 1.500ns 86 ball
  • D9JNL 128MBx8 1.5v 533MHz cycle time 1.875ns 78 ball
  • D9JNM 128MBx8 1.5v 667MHz cycle time 1.500ns 78 ball

Seems alot of >DDR3-2000+ Mhz kits are using Micron D9JNM or D9GTS as well so will be interesting to see. So far tested 2 sets in memtest86+ v2.01 and very promising with the 2 sets doing 822mhz 6-6-6-18 and 830mhz 6-6-6-18 respectively at 1.958v. About same as my 2x1GB OCZ PC3-14400 Platinum Micron D9GTR based modules but at 0.05-0.1v less vdimm

The testing begins http://i4memory.com/f83/6x1gb-g-skil...7-18-fun-8158/

Update: I originally thought all were Micron D9JNM but it seems only the 2 sets with consecutive serial numbers ending in 5671, 5672, 5673, 5674 are Micron D9JNM. The G.Skill set ending in 5679 and 5680 are in fact Samsung HCF0 (816)!
