Cellshock PC2-8000 CAS5+P5B Deluxe = low clocks?
Old 28-08-2008, 02:21 AM   #1 (permalink)

I ordered a kit of the CellShock CS2221450 (1000MHz 5-5-5-12) but don't seem to be having much luck clocking them very high with the default timings, at least not on my P5B-Deluxe. I unfortunately have a 1.03G version with the C1 chipset stepping, so I get the PCI-E x1 bug if I up the VMCH over 1.45V. My goal would be 600MHz+ if at all possible. I was able to get the sticks to clock to 600MHz CAS5 on my Striker Extreme, so I know they can do it. I'm running an E6300 on the P5B with a Tuniq Tower+SilverStone FM121 for CPU cooling. I've seen some of eva2000's crazy clocks on the P5B even using an unmodded board without the DDR2 Maximizer, so the board should have it in it...
