1) & 2) The CMG kits are supposed to have the newer Elpida Hyper chips that are more sturdy than the older ones so you shouldn't have the premature death issue.
4) No reason why that shouldn't work, though 1600 C7 may not be guaranteed at 1.65v if they're not sold in a triple channel kit. If you play with volts it should be fine.
